Created in connection with Damien Shen’s exhibition My Cuzzy Nate and the 654 Club, this artist-designed deck brings together card magic, storytelling, family, cultural memory and Aboriginal joy.

The exhibition centres on Shen’s adaptation of Sam the Bellhop, a classic 1930s narrative card trick made famous by Bill Malone in the 90s. The exhibition also includes 52 hand-etched tintype photographs, combining historical paintings of Aboriginal people with intricate Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna inspired markings that honour, adorn and celebrate their subjects. 

This limited edition deck carries the visual language and spirit of the exhibition into a functional artwork that can be played with, displayed or kept as a collector’s piece.

Only 1,000 decks have been produced. Each deck is personally signed and individually numbered by Damien Shen, making every deck a strictly limited edition.
